Somewhere in Between, Sunbathe’s sophomore odyssey, advances new ground for the band. Like the sun baring down, it is hard to escape its blinding power. Deep within the lyricism lies a truthful femininity that while brutal at times has moments of black humor about the human condition. Maggie Morris’ songs explore a vast territory of themes and emotions, while always keeping in mind what it is to be a woman in modern America.
